apt-get install libssl-dev

there must be a doc with all these dependencies in the wiki.

additionally I've found an error in the zmdc.log file:

28/11/06 03:30:12 008921 zmdc[501].ERR ['zmc -m 1' exited abnormally, exit status 255]

that's the only error I have found in all logs.

I'm getting the same problem... any ideas?

I'm quite new with this but for what you say it seems that you don't have installed the MySQL 5 development packages:

if you're using MySQL 5 try with:

apt-get install libmysqlclient15-dev

that should allow you to reach the next STOP

Well, when I run make install it stops and says that apache is not a group neither a user. Do I have to follow any apache installation procedure that I don't know?
