Re: 1.34.3 zmc broken with nvidia cuda

I'm also seeing this. I have a repo-installed version 4.2.2 of ffmpeg, which provides libavformat.so.58, and zmc (v1.34.14) is insisting on linking to libavformat.so.57. I've been wondering if the problem could be that zoneminder is looking for libavformat version 58 with a minor version >= 64, wher...

Re: Keep stills for new events, then delete?

Yes you can both. What doesn't exist is a nice way to just delete the stills without deleting the rest. I may add that to filters in 1.33. Did this ever happen? It would be hugely useful to be able to store frames for new events while the passthrough video is being recorded so that you can check on...

Any of this work likely to affect search efficacy?

I'm seeing a lot of "no results found" for stuff that I'm sure should find something (eg. searching for "ffmpeg" in all forums...)

Apologies for not replying sooner. The place I bought it from went all uncommunicative/unhelpful when I started asking for detailed support. Had a bit of a battle getting a refund out of them, but managed to return it in the end. I'll be trying to find some alternative that at least professes to sup...

Support for aviosys mpeg4 network video servers - possible?

I've just bought an Aviosys 9360Q, as I was lead to believe that it could be used with other software. I'm not convinced it is possible after all; just waiting to hear back from the supplier. I notice that there's a SDK though, which talks (in rather broken english - automatically translated I suspe...

Aviosys IP Video Server 9360Q

Anyone tried using an Aviosys IP Video Server 9360Q with Zoneminder?

Doesn't seem unreasonably priced for a 4 channel simultaneous D1 res 20fps streamer:

There are cheaper multi-chip cards to be had, eg: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11888&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= What's the cpu utilisation like with the Atom board? (Which one are you using - D945GCLF?) I quite fancy building a very low power Atom...

An update: I thought it was fixed, but it's not. It's certainly more stable with glibc-2.6-3 than with 2.6-4, but I'm still seeing signal-8 (FP exception) and signal-11 (segfault) in many different services and processes, and zma/zmc crashes with signal-255 (?). glibc was a red herring, but I think ...

Just out of interest, do you have the i386 or the i686 version of the rpm installed? Looking back through my yum logs, it appears to have installed the i386 version for all of the glibc-<something> packages, and the i686 version of the main glibc package, even though there is an i386 version availab...

Major system instability problem with fedora 7/xen

I've been moving zoneminder over to a new machine, and in the process I think I've discovered a potential problem that can cause significant system instability, and not just with zoneminder. I was beginning to think the new machine had a serious h/w problem, as I was experiencing a wide range of cra...

I had a lot of trouble getting that error message to disappear. In the end I did a "yum remove" on ffmpeg (which took a lot of other dependent packages with it (including ffmpeg-devel...) - make a note of which ones so you can reinstall later!), installed the custom built ffmpeg, including...

Update - just got zoneminder running ok on Fedora 7. Had to compile ffmpeg from the source rpm using "--enable-shared" but without "--enable-swscaler" (which the binary rpms have in by default), install it, then build zm 1.22.3 from the source. After updating the mysql database, ...
