As it turns out, the problem was that I had my pre-event buffer set to the same as my ring buffer (both 10, I have shared memory issues that I'm working on). Once I was able to increase my ring buffer to 20, the problem went away.

Bayesian filter?
I think a neat feature would be to be able to manually mark events as "true positives" and "false positives" and then have a bayesian analysis run on the stats from the events to see something can be "mined" from the statistics to discriminate the two types. I am using Firefox 1.0Pre to manage ZM. When I bring up a monitor, the video streams at 5 fps, just as I have it specified.
