Axis 211 & infrared

Dear all, a friend of mine asked me to set up a surveillance system for his home. As money isn't really the critical point here i thought of using some "Axis 211". Those are offered as a bundle with outdoor housing, mountings etc. My only concern is the somewhat dim enviroment light at nig...

phil, i like this idea of having an audio being played if there is motion detected, is there anyone out there who's already done this? Something similar. My setup is a zm-server somewhere in my serverroom, headless. There are several machines displaying the montage window (or zm4Linux), or some mpl...

What about defining a filter like this one:

"Date/Time" "less than or equal to" "-14days"
Sort by: Date/Time Desc

Re: Anyone tried this IP camera with ZM?

If just a wireless problem then it won't matter as I intend to use the wired versions. I discussed this with the seller of the cam. He told me he could reproduce the problem with the 2 cams i returned to him and had similar probs with other wireless cams as soon as they became warm. I think it is d...

Re: Anyone tried this IP camera with ZM?

eBay Link I've tested 2 of these wireless cams some time ago. Both had the same problems: a) After some time (between 30 minutes and 5 hours) they stopped responding and must be resetted. b) FPS was around _3_ (three) with ZM, never tested the Windows software. c) the picture quality is ok as long ...

Just to make sure I understand correctly: If you are going to provide a version of live cd 1.20, all i have to do is to make sure my sql db is backed up.
Then i install 1.20 live cd, restore the db and i'm done?

Is it really that easy?

thx

Re: Spiders Can you help

Yes. that looks exactly like my problem ;-)

I'm having probs with those little invaders for years. I've tried lots of things including chemical weapons. Nothing helps. The only solution I have is to use a besom or so and start a little hunt for them.

Sorry

ZM-Logs redirect to syslog

Dear all, as I like to get all logging centralized I've wrote a little (dirty) script to parse ZMs internal logs like 'zmfilter.log' to syslog. In case someone might find this usefull: #!/bin/bash ################################################# # really dirty hack to redirect ZMs internal logs to ...

Thx for the answer.
Rotating is not the problem. My point is that I'd love to have all the logs collected at one centralized location.
Nevermind, as it is on your todo list ;-)

have fun

logs (zmfilter.log etc) not in directory but piped to logger

Dear all, as a great fan of logfiles I'm a bit unhappy about the way those ZM internal logfiles are handled. Let me explain: The main syslog (/var/log/messages) of my cameraserver is redirected to my main logserver. As is done with all my other servers. So I have one centralized logfile which is rot...

New user and solution for backjumping frames

Dear all, after finally getting myself a capture card (bt878, one chip, 4 inputs) i've installed ZM and it works perfectly. Right now i'm using 2 cams to become familiar with it. Right from the beginning i had some really strange problems for which i couldn't find any solution in the FAQ, the docs o...
