I was doing a little more researh an I will try to transcode the mp4 video using VLC and streaming at the same time, so I can set up a monitor in zoneminder ...

just in case I was unclear, I need to know if its possible grab video with mplayer and feed aoneminder with it.

Hi, Its possible to use externals programs (like mplayer) to feed zoneminder ? I have a MPG4 Cam (no jpg or mjpg), and made litle scripts to take jpg from my cam using mplayer.
