thanks a lot for the reply and the really useful link!!! But is only a little strange the fact that /tmp its not on a separate partition... in the past if I remember correctly... ZoneMinder usually puts some files in /tmp... And now?

Ops, I forgot to say that if the test configuration will works (as I hope ) I will add a 2nd HD of 200GB for the storage of the events...

Any suggest about the main HD of 40GB its always appreciated!

Hallo Everybody, I want to test a Zoneminder installation on a P4 2.4Ghz, 768MB of RAM, 40GB HD and a BT484 based card with 4 input (first with 1 camera, but the idea is to connect 4 cameras). I want to use the entire HD only for Linux + Zoneminder... but I don't know how to partition it according ...
