Axis 216MFD no stream in ZM

Hey all - Long time since my last checkin. ZM has been quietly doing it's job for a long time. I've recently moved to a new server. ZM is installed, and apparently happy. I have a new set of cameras to install, all Axis IP cams in this case. The first test cam is a 216MFD. I can get image in anonymo...

progress...sorta

I'm making (some) progress. No longer generating copious errors in my logs. And I can get video off of a single input from all four chips at once. So my 16 port card is now functioning as a four port. But as soon as I add a monitor on (say) /dev/video0, input1, in addition to input0, I get black ima...

Thumbs up to Bluecherry.net - Zoneminder LiveCD

Last week, I ordered a new PV-155 to to into our second camera server here at the clinic. If you've ever been through the struggles of the initial zoneminder setup on a new system, dependent on distro, versions of php, apache, etc., you have to check this thing out. Bluecherry has the CD's preconfig...

Re: zmfilter disk space BUG discovered - providing fix

In addition, I can tell zm that the events dir lives on /mnt/data/events, and still come away with a full disk. Looking into it further now, I'll post what I find. I can duplicate this on my box. /var/www/localhost/htdocs/events --> is a symlink to /mnt/data/events /mnt/data = /dev/sdb1, a raid 10 a...

Re: zmfilter disk space BUG discovered - providing fix

I can duplicate this on my box. /var/www/localhost/htdocs/events --> is a symlink to /mnt/data/events /mnt/data = /dev/sdb1, a raid 10 array running on 3Ware controller OS (root) is on /dev/sda3 OS (boot) is on /dev/sda1 swap is on /dev/sda2 Older versions of ZM dealt with this just fine. The newer ...

Re: license plate recognition

Hi, Does anyone have experience on integrating ZM with some LPR software? Or if anyone has any links to get me going I will appreciate it very much. Seems to be quite few GPL projects about plate recognition in general. -h While not what you're looking for directly, we have found a solution to this...

fun with acpi (IRQ 0 fix)

Ran across one that I don't see documented anywhere, so I thought it would be good to share. If, during the course of your testing, you find that BTTV is not finding all of your inputs, please check to see that your card resources are being allocated correctly. If you check dmesg, you may find a lin...

Sean - I don't know the answer to your questions, but I'll second your experience. Your thread has saved what is left of my hair. I've been chasing my tail for several weeks now trying to find out why the system would eventually crash out. Opteron optimized kernels only made the problem worse (ie., ...
