Re: upgrading from 1.34 to 1.36 improved motion detection?
ZMES? I searched the wiki for ai but didn't find anything. Any links that someone unfamiliar with ai could get started?

Not able to save pic to disk
Wanted to save a current camera view so right clicked and "same image as..." then entered a name. No error but also no file on the disk. Thinking I had done something wrong I tried again. Finally just clicked copy, pasted it into another program and saved from there. Not a huge issue but it doesn't ...

upgrading from 1.34 to 1.36 improved motion detection?
I was thinking the motion detection might be improved but from what I have read it looks pretty much the same. Or am I missing something? I understand there are various improvements that likely make it worth upgrading but that's not really my question. I have outdoor cameras that I have spent some ...

Install questions -xubuntu 24.04 for install of ZM 1.36? SSD?
Have 8 cameras. Only need low-moderate frame rate. Using motion detection. Looking to update from 1.34 and put it on a different box - Dell Optiplex 5040, i7-6700 with 16G of DDR3 ram. 500G 7200 RPM HDD and 500G m.2 SSD. Running this headless. Seems like hardware is overkill so I may run some other ...

Re: zmtrigger stopping events
I'm having some issues with zmtrigger. I found that if I tried to do 3 recordings in one command only the first two happened. And a few other questionable things. Not sure they are zmtrigger issues but think its time to upgrade to a current version and see if things work better.

Re: Multiple triggers via zm trigger - some aren't happening
Yesterday I had someone come by the house and drive in the driveway. That zone has been working pretty well but for some reason motion detection didn't generate an event. I have another driveway sensor that was triggered and sent a command to ZM (or at least should have) to capture an event and that ...

Re: Multiple triggers via zm trigger - some aren't happening
I see some other threads where the API method is suggested. I could try that. Got any python examples of doing that? Most of my coding is stealing others code.

Re: Multiple triggers via zm trigger - some aren't happening
I saw a comment somewhere that it might be possible to trigger multiple zones with one command. If that's true I could try it but need to know how to form the command. I looked at my zmtrigger log file but not sure how to interpret it. There was a trigger at 19:45. It's not too huge so will include ...

Multiple triggers via zm trigger - some aren't happening
Got triggering via zm triggering working so thought I would trigger multiple cameras. The first two happen but the 3rd doesn't. Wondering if I need small delay between commands - am I giving it too much at once? Commands are from a python script on another network device. Here are just the lines for ...

camera drops connection
I have 1 camera that has started giving me trouble. About a week ago I noticed the IP was in red and couldn't get an image from it. I unplugged the camera network cable (powered over ethernet) and tried a spare camera I had (just a different IP I had set up in ZM but wasn't currently using). That ...

Re: Need help with eliminating trigger when camera switches for night to day
Is there some way to detect if camera is in B/W or color? If so perhaps I could disable trigger for a few frames on mode change until the reference image catches up.

Re: Need help with eliminating trigger when camera switches for night to day
Seems we need a way to flush the reference image or someway to regenerate in just a few frames for large changes. Maybe there exists something like that?

Re: Need help with eliminating trigger when camera switches for night to day
Spoke too soon! It didn't work yesterday at dawn but did in the evening and this morning. The morning shows 7 alarm frames and some actual events are only 5. This is with a precursor zone. Ideas?

Re: Need help with eliminating trigger when camera switches for night to day
The image blend change seems to work at least on the change to B/W tonight. Will give it a couple days to see how it works.
