Only keeping 9 days

I am not sure what changed but I am running an older 22.3 version and I was getting three weeks. I just checked the system and I am only getting about 9 days with 16 cameras running at 2.5 fps on a 750 GB system. I have ran fsck and it did not have any problems. Any ideas of what might be causing ...

Do you have any steps that you took to set this up. It looks like it works pretty good and I would like to play with it some.

Cycle

Is there any way to increase the size of the cycle image or scale it? I'm sure there is but I can't find anything about it. Thanks

Yup it is a Via Rhine II chipset. I thought I had went away from those but I bought this box a couple of months ago and it must have been before I started noticing they didn't perform as well. When you say the chipset has timing issues exactly what does that mean for the chipset. I know it controls ...

Thanks for the help James

I found that if I delete all but one camera I get 40 fps. Two cameras 1.1 fps. Three cameras .7 fps. Four cameras .5 fps.

It's an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 GHz with 512 MB of RAM

Can't get more than .5 fps from 4 port card

I am using a PV-143 - 4 port video capture card (30FPS) from Bluecherry and tried lots of different things but can't get over .5 or .6 fps per input. It isn't a big deal but I would like to get some of the jerkiness out. I am running Ubuntu Edgy and played with the bttv card options and tried 77,98 ...

I just got the same thing with fiesty also. Changed to plain and it works fine. Hopefully I'll get some time tommorow or this weekend and see if there is anything new with fiesty that is causing this.

I see what you are talking about on my system also and the code is pretty hard to follow. I'll try to look at it more this evening and see if I can see anything else.

Phil would it be possible to use something like http://www.live555.com/openRTSP/ to convert the feed for you. It looks like it is doing what you need but I'm not sure if it is the right format. I just got in some Grandstream GXV-3000 Video phones at the office that support rtsp video streaming and ...

Zoneminder captures a bunch of still images and stitches them together to create a mjpeg video. If you just want to watch the event you should be able to click on the event id and watch a video of it. If you want to create a video to pull off the box then their should be a video link on the top ...

Have you ran mysqlcheck on the datatbase? How many cameras do you have running? Did you try to clean some space off the hard drive? In top if you do a "shift p" it sorts by processor what else had a value greater than 0 other than zmc? Have you looked at your log files to see if anything jumped out ...

Remember we can all help on this project. Try to look at the code and see what needs to be changed to fix it for everyone. I'll try to setup groups and look and see if I can catch what you are talking about.
