Wireless with Infra-Red Cameras

Hello, long time since been on ZM and pleased to see it alive, well and kicking :) have moved to a new house and require a camera set up that is wireless; missus has said *clearly* no cables to be present anywhere! :) so am looking for something that is of decent quality and waterproof; whether that ...

UK: Doorbell with camera

Hi,

would anyone know whether a doorbell, with inbuilt camera, exists that can integrate with ZoneMinder ? Ideally it would be wireless as my wife hates cables running everywhere :)

TIA

Network cameras using ethernet over mains

I would like to rig up a camera to monitor my garage but do not really want to spend out on setting up a wifi repeater etc. I have power to the garage so have thought about using the ethernet over mains adaptors. Has anybody used these and how did they perform ?

Best Camera Location

Hi, I received yesterday two nice shiny Axis 221 cameras :) Having given them a quick test I need to find the ideal location for fitting them. My main aim is to monitor the area around the back door and the patio doors plus the front door. If you take a look at https://www.splatnix.net/gallery/main ...

CCTV Benefits ?

I have provisionally booked for the installation of two Axis 221 cameras plus additional IR source in March, and thought would just check with the local Police Crime Prevention team about the legalities of it. As expected all you have to be aware of if that you can only record images of your ...

Has anybody been lucky enough to have a play with one of these cameras? Do they work okay with ZoneMinder?

Axis or Gadspot

Hi, I shall be installing three cameras soon and was originally going to Axis 221 with additional IR source. Though, I have now seen the GadSpot 4600H outdoor camera which looks pretty cool. Even though it does not have PoE you can use power over a BNC connection. Any thoughts on this camera ? I see ...

Unless you have greater than 2GB RAM you will not see a huge difference between 32bit and 64bit due to memory addressing. If you are going to be using the machine for other things ie.email server then keep it simple and go 32bit. You will have less issues with compatibility.
