anyone? if i wait till modprobe is done the rmmod the manually modprobe bttv, i cannot kill the modprove process even with kill -9 and -15 i need to figure out is there a way to enable extra debugging in the bttv module?

what do you need to be put online? the encoder? or the zone minder? there is no web interface on the controller only telnet. either way will not help you unless you come to my house.

not sure if you need ffmpeg to encode or decode. but these commands will list the compile options and enabled features.
if what you want is not listed you will have to recompile ffmpeg

hey guys my zoneminder is recording 4 cameras via udp multicast . I would like to modulate onto a CATV line a channel for each camarea and also once channel with a 2x2 grid of all 4 images at one time. analog catv modulators are cheap these days but i am not sure how to get the images out of the pc ...

I ran both

sudo chmod 666 /dev/video0
sudo chmod 4755 /usr/bin/zmfix

and it did the trick! not sure which one or both needed it but it did fix it.

my modetction starts out at a high FPS but after a second drops down to like 4 FPS any ideas what buffer or setting should i change?
