Fedora 17 installation problems

I followed the wiki at: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Fedora for a Fedora 17 installation today and keep getting a Bareword error when I try to start it. I've tried removing and reinstalling several times with no success. Jul 20 15:00:53 zoneminder zoneminder[5149]: Starting ZoneMinder ...

BT878 card and no video

I have a new installation with three BT878 cards (I think) and despite following several BT878 tutorials can't get video to work. Any ideas or would an expert be willing to connect to my server and take a look? I really need to get this up and running soon as I think I have a theft problem.

Multiple ZoneMinder Servers with a Master

I have somewhat of a unique problem. I have a small fleet of vans for my business and had a problem of break ins at night. I'm planning to add onboard computers for a couple of other items and would like to also have them record video in case one of the vans is broken into. Is it possible to stream ...

I've followed both how-tos and when I try to start zm get the error:
/usr/local/etc/zm.conf: No such file or directory.

Also
cp cambozola.jar /var/www/html/zm/

throws the same error

I was thinking of using the video out on the card to display the computer desktop on the TV but is it possible to use the remote to switch the desktop view from camera to camera? I've never experimented with tuner cards.

Thanks Lee.

Do you know of a good supplier in China for these and IR bullet cameras? I've looked on Alibaba but most of the suppliers want more for their products than I can buy them for on eBay.

TV Tuner card

The is probably a stupid question but... Is it possible to configure a tuner card to allow the user to switch between cameras across more than one server using the remote? Basically what I would like to do is connect a basic computer to my TV's aux port so when I am channel surfing at 01:00 I can ...

Cable options

I would like to wire my apartment complex and would have runs as long as 300'. Would it be possible to use Cat5, taking two of the wires per connection and use it to carry both the video and camera power? With the layout of the buildings if I were to use RG59 I would have to also run camera power to ...

Wired alarm component interface suggestions

I'm looking for suggestions for wired alarm component interfaces that would allow 10-15 zones. All I've been able to find are the X10 wireless interfaces.
