Hi, I have this Time To Next Event = 1 problem too. The first frame is displayed and the video window goes black with that text. I just got this running with my Kodicom 8800 card (it just needed the modprobe entries and Video for Linux version 1 instead of 2). Is it safe to update to 1.24.4?

What changes do you have to your modprobe.d/options and sysctl.conf? How much memory is in the box? I haven't changed either file, they're whatever gets installed by the liveCD. There's no options file in /etc/modprobe.d either. The box has 2GB of RAM, top reports about 55MB free. It's a Core2 Duo ...

Ah ok... is the ring buffer the same as the image buffer for each channel?
Increasing the image buffer for each channel will make it turn orange.

Hmm... why would channel 1 be orange and channel 2 be green, if both are idle?

What about a simpler question.. what does it mean when the source text turns orange?
