What processor/ram specs should I be looking at if I was going to use the 8port(240fps) capture card from bluecherry? Using two of them in one box. Also, what kind of frame rates can I expect when all 8 ports are in use? I read somewhere that is wasn't simply take 240 and divide by 8. I hope that ...

Try setting it to the 'low sensitivity'.

If the door is far from the camera not enough might be changing in the picture to set off the alarm.

What type of zone did you define it as?

Also your thresholds might be to high, try lowering them.

I am curious as to all the variables that go into the final size of the images created.

The obvious ones to me are resolution and color depth, but I'm curious what if anything else would the image size be dependent on, or any methods or settings to decrease the size of those images.

I was assuming it would generate that video file on demand when you try to export 'video'.

How do I get it to record a video file then as it is not apparant to me... I went under options -> images and switched it from jpeg to mpeg and when I monitor the camera it is clearly using mpeg with compression as opposed to mjpeg... Well, that error stops showing up in the logs but I still am left with no image when I view the monitor.
