Hi, I've just installed zoneminder again after a while when i re-installed my os. The interface and everything is now up and running however I cannot get it to show my camera. I have increased the shared memory in shmall and shmmax to 1000 times the default so that should no longer be the problem ...

Just tried shining an LED torch (not sure if it has and IR coming from it or not) towards the camera and I did notice a bit of improvement in the picture, more definition in the cars and i could see the edges of the road. No, the speed with .jpg is more than good enough. May try restricting it to a lower fps as it is hampering the cpu a little (though nothing to really complain about).

The camera is not much use in low light though, thought it would cope better seeing as theirs a street-light outside the house.

Thank you for that help. The logs confirmed the shared memory problem and I've increased it. Explains why the other cam was working with a lower resolution.
