Hi Cordel, Thanks for the info. I can ping all of the cameras and they all show fairly consistent ping times of around 0.4 to 0.5mS. wget seems to work too. Very odd. Pointing the browser on the ZM machine at the cameras shows the image as expected. In ZM I do see images some of the time, but ...

New install on FC10 - ERR [Select timed out]

Hi I have recently installed Fedora FC10 on a system using hardware that was known to be in a working state. The installation appeared to work as it should and I have a basically working ZM installation using three Axis 221 network cameras. ZM is configured to capture 1FPS from all cameras. However ...

Spectra 8 and FC6

Hi All

Some success. I removed some of the options from modprobe.conf and now things seem to be running.

Code: Select all

options bttv card=42,42,42,42 pll=1 tuner=4
Is there a guide to these options somewhere?

Thanks
Ian.

Spectra 8 and FC6

Hello All, I am just building a new system with FC6 and a spectra 8 card. The card has been in use in my old FC4 based system without problems for some time now. However I have been unable to get the card to work with FC6. From the logs it looks like the card is automagically detected by the kernel ...

Thanks yod9999,

tabbing to the next field does enable the save button - I can save states now!

Cheers.

Saving states

Hi

I'm running ZM 1.22.2 on FC5 and can't save run states. The save and delete buttons are always greyed out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I-Watcher IC-100 limited sucess

Hi, I recently bought an Orite I-Watcher IC-100 from Aria just to see what a cheap IP camera is like. I guess you get what you pay for! To get it to go with ZM I used these settings. Opened port 1600 on the ZM box - the manual says this port is used for video. Remote host name: 192.168.1.xx Remote ...

Thanks voronwe.

I didn't even think to google (too tired from being woken by the old disk at 0:300 this morning)

I have downloaded the .iso and will give it a try this evening.

Migrating to a new hard disk

Hi My ZM linux box hard disk is on the way out and needs to be replaced. It still functions as a hard disk, we just can't get any sleep. Is there an easy way to copy the ZM installation - system and all to a new (larger) disk? If possible I want to avoid having to re-install everything from scratch ...

User Log

Hi all,

I have a number of users configured. Is there a way that I can see who is logged on?

I can see the IP address of a connected user in the httpd logs, but can't see any way of telling which user is logged on.

Broken zoneminder after setting webmin root password

Hello, I seem to have broken my zm installation. It was working well until I changed the root password for webmin. Now I see the following in /var/log/messages: Feb 26 12:46:18 localhost webmin(pam_unix)[3134]: authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost= user=root Feb 26 12:46 ...
