If you would want to secure a big area with several camera's (and you want it to be as cheap as possible) how would you do that? I want to use Zoneminder in combination with Debian3.0 (minimum install) on 2 pc's. I was wondering how many USB-webcams I can hook up to them (640*480 @ 25 frames/s or 5 frames/s)
PC1: 166Mhz (no MMX), 32 RAM, 1 GB HD, 100Mbit/s ethernet
PC2: 350Mhz, 64RAM, 6 GB HD, 100Mbit/s ethernet

I would like to ZoneMinder to be available to Windows-systems too. So that one can hook up webcams to Windows-systems AND Linux-systems, and afterwards can look at in 1 program. I would also like to see a beef up in security on the streaming media, if it is possible. So that one can look 'through ...
