On Ubuntu 8.04 LTS I used ffmpeg 0.5.

I found a window still open with the error. Here it is: Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Too many connections in /var/www/includes/database.php on line 32 Could not connect to database: Too many connections While researching the solution to this error I found quite a bit of discu...

Ubuntu 8.04 ZM 1.24.1 mysql_pconnect error
I fixed a problem today that I was unable to find any posts about so I thought I would document what it was. I have an Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 server setup with ffmpeg 0.5 and ZM 1.24.1. I have a total of 32 monitors configured. One client was able to view montage but as soon as second client tried I star...

I did not see anything in that thread that really applied to me. I am using all analog cams. Just for a test I deleted all the working monitors and left only the problems ones. I did see a suspicious error in the system log. Something about a wrong palette. After checking the palette settings on one...

Same video on multiple /dev/video monitors
The short question: When setting up monitors my video feed is shown for each of the /dev/video0(0,1,2,3) devices. The same video appears as if the camera output is split and sent to each input. Details: I have a Ubuntu server 8.04 LTS system that has self compiled ffmpeg 0.5 and ZM 1.24.1. It is AMD...

Filesystem option for large (3.5TB) RAID Array
I am working on setting up a ZM system and I have all the software working. I am now working on getting the most performance out of my storage array. I currently have a 3.5TB RAID5 array. This is SATA 750G drives with hardware raid. While testing the setup I had the array setup as ReiserFS. From eve...

Possible solution?
I am seeing this same problem on Ubuntu 8.04 amd64 with ZM 1.23.3. The problem appears to be caused by mootools-1.2. mootools1.11 had an Ajax class. This is not present in 1.2 (although I think most of its functions have been moved into the Request class). I briefly looked at changing the PHP code f...

I turned debug logging level 5 on. In the log I noticed that I was trying to connect to input 4 on /dev/video0. When I changed that to input 3 it started working. I have a new problem when I try to add monitors past 8 so I need to play with some settings and then post again if I can not figure it out.

Because the BlueCherry.net page listed card=77 as an option I tried it as well. When I restarted ZM the monitor came up and I was able to view a feed from one of the cameras. As soon as I tried to add the next monitor they all turned red and the log showed this: 04/21/2008 13:38:07.472000 zmdc[19001...
