Re: mysql fails zm_database_init
Problem resolved with a full new install formatting all relevant partitions, with the only exception being /home. The zm 1.25 installed by the RPM, and proper set up of mysql. Currently I have some physical connections to correct when there is access available to the locations. On Montage, the only ...

Re: mysql fails zm_database_init
I did another fresh install this morning, and got around that problem. It probably was my typing. I have the problem with perl and PHP serialization problem. I have both of the openSUSE 11.4 repos present, and even specifically made sure I install perl-PHP-Serialization, and still get the errors on ...

mysql fails zm_database_init
Totally new install of openSUSE 11.4 and zoneminder 1.24 Second iteration of install to formatted partitions of both of above. When running zm_database_init, it requests the root password ONCE, then writes the files into /root/... Then it fails to log into mysql. Yes, it is running. I can manually ...

Re: install problem - 'nothing provides perl-PHP-Serializati
I did not have that problem using the repository with openSUSE 11.3. I do have the problem with openSUSE 11.4. I tried downloading an RPM for RedHat and CentOS, the source version without distro specifics, and RPM would not handle it. Also, the repo for 11.4 is not the latest ZoneMinder. Looks like ...

Viewing of Images on Firefox quit
I have no problem seeing the recorded events and looking at the images there, either manually on disk or through the Events > Even-.... > stills , but montage and cycle fail to display the images. Events do get stored on disk. Also, there is no fps number on any camera - 11 active cameras Running ...

1.24.2 recording frames prior and after motion detection
I can't find a setting for these in Options, and some recordings only have frames after motion should be detected and end prior to motion stopping. The camera zones are the default - I can't find the zones settings. I was used to these in an earlier version (1.22.?) but now that 1.24.1 has this ...

Just some thought about it
I would try multiple primary input ZoneMinder computers and do a softlink of .../zm/events/ to the NFS system with a raided drive setup. Two problems I can see. You have to make sure the systems have unique names and numbers for each camera set up, so you don't duplicate 1,2,3,etc in the NFS drive ...

I have the following listing for a camera - latest everything installed in the last week - just started modect recording late yesterday. Notice that most are 2011 year, but one is 1969. That event has 39 frames stored on disk. Apparently something is reading the current time wrong. When trying to ...

Express6 IP server is working
I had to adjust the resolution. It only works with /jpeg.cgi?x /nph-mjpeg.cgi?x does not work, even though I'm using 1.24.2 with openSUSE 11.3 on a triple core AMD with 4G of ram. Why would a camera that works at 340x280 going through a video input care need 352x280 when coming in as IP? After ...

I can view images on all 6 inputs of the Express6 via the fixed IP of the Express6 using Firefox, yet I can not see them through ZoneMinder.

Given the responces - has no-one ever used the Express 6?
Obviously not! And yet there are posts that suggest using it.
There has to have been some results with Stardot cameras.
Is the server so much different?

[Solved] Express6 does not stream video
I have 1.24 setup via the openSUSE 11.1 repository. It works for video in - but - With input from the Express6, I've tried their recommended methods: http://<ip>/jpeg.cgi?x - where x is the camera input number 0 to 5 It gives me a solid black image frame in ZoneMinder http://<ip>/nph-mjpeg.cgi?0 It ...
