Ok, I have more info. There is not mpg or avi in the folder for the event. I guess when I click on the event in Zoneminder console it just plays back the jpegs, I assumed it was an mpg. I cannot find a zmvideo.log. I have ffmpeg installed, but I have not tested it. What can I do to test ffmpeg and ...

I can see the event in the Zoneminder console, and I can play it. I wonder if there is a timeout, or a way to have the email wait until the mpg file is done before trying to send? Not sure if that is the problem.

What is the best way to start troubleshooting this?

E-mails are being sent based on an alarm filter, then I tried to attach the mpg file, but it appears to be created but never sent. OK...ok....I did see the patch above, actually I am just unsure how it works. Do I cut and paste the text to a file, save the file in the ZM install file, then use the patch -1 filename.ext......what next? I have to give the name of the ZM....file.....what file am I patching? Do I need to run ...

I would like to attach the movie file (avi) also.

Where is this patch, is it posted anywhere?

When I try to make ZM, here is the error I get:

/usr/include/ffmpeg/avformat.h:66: error: 'INT64_C' was not declared in this scope

Will a patch to ZM 1.22.3 fix this? What patch? Where?

I have used "motion" before, the Linux surveillance system, with that I was able to attach files, jpeg, avi,..... to my e-mails after motion was detected. I have ZM sending me alerts now, but I want to attach the avi (movie) files to the e-mail once ffmpeg is done making them. How can I do this ...

I have sendmail working, but I put in my ISP smtp for ZM_EMAIL_HOST.

Now, how can I attach an avi or mpg file of the event?
