BTW, this doesn't seem right. All the permissions throughout /var/www/html/zm are root.root
Is that right? Maybe it can't write the events due to permissions?

Recording Alarms
Trying to figure out why, after setting up zones, despite the fact that events are recorded, no images are recorded. I also see that each event lasts 0.00 duration. There must be some setting I'm forgetting.

Trying to figure out where ZM saves the captured images. I want to mount that directory on a separate and large HD.

Re: Zoneminder help in Seattle
Well, the main issue at the time I wrote that letter has been resolved. But many other issues remain, which may need resolution depending on my time. In this case, if you have the time, I might need to contact you in the future about getting some stuff resolved. In this case, could you send me your ...

Zoneminder help in Seattle
I have a client with a ZM install, but am having serious problems getting it back up and working. Wondering if there are any proficient ZM users in the Seattle area (specifically, Kirkland), who could help in getting this machine back up and running. Thanks!

But as far as I can tell you are proposing a video capture card. I don't see any pre-built systems there. Lorex (http://lorexstore.lorextechnology.com/) sells pre-built systems and that's what I was referring to. Also, the card you suggest seems to be only Windows based. Are there Linux drivers for ...

ZM vs Lorex
I'm submitting a bid to an apartment building for a ZM system. But they also want me to submit alternatives to ZM. I can put everything down here that I'm planning on getting for a ZM system, but suffice to say for now, it would be a new box, 4 outside cameras w/heated cases. The total for equipment ...

zm on Debian lose video/stills when changing source params
Ok on Debian (sarge) I have zm 1.21.3 installed. Here's the wierd thing. If I change the source capture width or size after setting up a camera, that camera's feed is no longer available (either streaming or as a still). Can't access it period. However, if I view the feed using xawtv of course it's ...

Debian package erroring out when I try to start zm
When I try to start zm now (after essentially upgrading from 1.20.xx to your 1.21-5) I get the following error. What have I failed to do? FrontDesk:/etc/init.d# ./zm start Starting ZoneMinder: Bareword "ZM_OPT_CONTROL" not allowed while "strict subs" in use at /usr/bin/zmpkg.pl line 274. Execution ...

irst can you use a program like tvtime or xawtv to view video from your cameras? Are there any errors in your logs that might help? What version of ffmpeg and were there any errors compiling? Are you sure the capture board you are using supports 326x288? I've tried xawtv and just installed tvtime ...

No streaming video
I am using ZM 1.20.x on a Debian kernel 2.6 box. I have a btx (something) video card and a non-name rca-cabled camera. Using webcam I can get still pictures from the rca camera. However, all attempts to get a streaming video using ffmpeg on the same device show only some static image. I haven't ...
