Using pelco "d" instead of diamond protocol, all the advanced features of this camera are available in pelco mode contrary to what honeywell said via tech support?

Entering pan speed in hex?
I was wondering if you can enter pan/tilt ranges in hex eg: my pan speed is 0x00 full speed 0x80 no speed I entered these above values in the control script entry fields but they were set back to "0" on opening it a second time? Other range values are C0, A7, etc.....

Looking for someone to write ultrak/diamond ptz script
I have some ultrak kd6 ptz domes I need a script written for. Will compensate on arranged price. The protocol looks fairly simple. Honeywell won't release the command structure to me but I have done a serial port capture using a windows ptz app for ultrak and it's pretty good and straight forward.

At 3am (much coffee) I found a very nice piece of sony software to run the evid30 it had lots of nice features like a readout of data and commands going and coming from cam. It runs fine under wine no problems at all! After running that app my cam worked fine under zm , so I suspect it needed the ...

I just did the same install on another fc3 box and it errored on test 135 also exactly the same with a failed install. It can't be machine specific, both high end p4 asus mboards but very diff. chipsets.(via and intel). I know this is off subject and am sorry for that ...

problem half fixed
An update of openssl solved the auth. problem Thanks! I got the SerialPort.pm via cpan and tried to install but it failed testing section saying I have a modem (I don't) so I unpluged my ups and visca cam and killed the ups daemon. Still failed so I did a "force install" ,it staes it's already ...
