Big letters patch
In our case guards that look on zoneminder archives are often elderly people who do not see small letters very well. There is no tuning to choose letter size in zoneminder as they are fixed size in pixels in CSS files. Well advanced users of Mozilla can change letters using View->Font size ...

Transparency patch
There is a very simple patch which is useful when you run camera not on 3:4 aspect ratio (We use 768x288 to get rid of interlacing). I think images clearly show the difference. This patch does not change appearance of 3:4 aspect ratio pictures which are ordinarily used. Before and after patch http ...

Have you checked for grounding or voltage leak issues. I have a camera at the moment that works when I power cycle the video amp but then inevitably packs up a short while later. I suspect a grounding problem though I suppose it could be heat. Indeed it turned out to be bad capacitor. Camera was ...

Switch is usually faster and cheaper than router. (Well there are exceptions to this rule). So unless you have plenty of financial resources in your project I would suggest to use switches. There are actually so called level 2.5 switches that have more brains that ordinary switches but are somewhat ...

Fix should be soon
See http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11034 for detail. You can take patch from there. I think the fix is going to show up in next release. Meanwhile it may be much easier to create xPurgeWhenFull by hand. After all it is just another filter script which triggers when 95% of disk is ...

Thanks. Changed for 1.23.2. Not quite. unserialize returns an error (Perhaps worth printing an error message in zm_html_view_filter.php). Could you please check the string. I think it should be: a:4:{s:5:"terms";a:2:{i:0;a:3:{s:4:"attr";s:8:"Archived";s:2:"op";s:1:"=";s:3:"val";s:1:"0";}i:1;a:4:{s ...

Camera works for a minute and goes dark
I have a problem with one simple indoor CCTV camera. When you turn 12 V on it works for about a minute, after that it becomes darker and darker and goes completely black. Wiring seems to be fine. Any idea where to look?

debian package 1.23.1 for etch
Hi, I've prepared debian etch package for zoneminder 1.23.1. This package is heavily is based on Peter Howard's work. I was using 1.22.3-10 latest patch set from debian testing. 1. At this point it cannot smoothly upgrade 1.22.3, so you have to purge zoneminder first and after that install 1.23.1 2 ...

Fix in new xPurgeWhenFull filter definition
There is now serialize - unserialize module in use. And I think we have to change: Query should be: trms=2&obr1=&cbr1=&attr1=Archived&op1==&val1=0&cnj2=and&obr2=&cbr2=&attr2=DiskPercent&op2=>=&val2=95&sort_field=Id&sort_asc=1&limit=5 to a:4:{s:5:"terms";a:2:{i:0;a:3:{s:4:"attr";s:8:"Archived";s:2 ...

patch for correct display of non-english menus
In russian language drop-down menus are translated but not displayed correctly. It is a typical problem for languages that have more than one coding table (russian has koi8, cp1251 and so on) There is a patch included to fix this problem. It basically replaces htmlentities into htmlspecialchars ...

It is usual problem with languages, that have more than one coding table. *** /home/kushnir/devel/zm/usr/share/zoneminder/zm_funcs ...

htmlspeciachars for menu
In russian translation drop-down menus are not displayed correctly. For example menus to choose scale of image or speed of display. There is a solution to use function htmlspecialchars instead of htmlentities.
Are there any objections to that? If none how should I organise a patch?
