The local Sam's club here has some 40 dollar color/infra red (i believe, since it has 4 led's on each side of the camera)/ cameras-- also has audio.
it has two composite outputs, video and audio-- and power of course.
I am looking for a hardware solution to have about 4 cameras. also, does zoneminder support multiple cameras with multiple sound inputs?
i haven't installed zoneminder yet, but i liked the camera-- it's not the best by far, but at least i could tell color's of vehicle's driving by, plus the low light was a plus. i'm not overly concerned about the audio, but if it wasn't too hard to implement, that'd be a nice positive also.
regardless.. i was looking for some type of 4 video input / 4 audio input card, anyway know if this exists, or does anyone have a way around this that i'm not thinking of?

Multiple cameras is no problem. Currently there is no audio but I'm fairly well through the implementation of it and it should be in the next major release.
Likewise with cards I think. Multiple video input cards are easy to find, ones with one audio input are also reasonably common but ones with one audio channel per video input are pretty scarce.

Would you know the most widly supported 4 composite input (or bnc input w/ composite adaptors) that there is out there?
I see the Grand X Guard is about 100 dollars. Are there any new cards that are any cheaper that are fairly easy to set up in linux? like around 60 dollars? :)
or is the grand guard the most bang for the buck (for buying something new and being relatively easy to implement/setup in linux)?
