I put this question as a response to a previous thread a week ago. I didn't get any responses in that thread so I'll start a new thread - in case the previous one was missed.
I have a Wanscam HW0043 that is frequently disconnecting from ZM. I'm getting frequent "Signal" events in the event log - where the Notes section report "Signal Reacquired".
The debug logs have lots of "Approaching buffer overrun..." errors as you'll see below.
I've pasted two sections of log that might be helpful to someone more knowledgeable than me.
* The first shows where apparently a frame read from the camera generates an error.
* The second group shows the Signal:Lost error, then a variety of Approaching buffer overrun warnings, then other stuff, then Signal:Lost.
In my previous posts I've talked of a multi-monitor configuration off one camera. I've taken it to one monitor with one detection zone.....just to simplify things in the hopes of honing in on this disconnect issue.
I've also slowed down the FPS on the camera to 15 fps.
At my system level I have 8GB of memory and System Monitor only shows 2GB being used.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Jim

Camera Disconnects
Re: Camera Disconnects
Is it wifi?
What does 'df | grep shm' look like?
Current Received Wisdom is '5fps is enough, unless you have a really good reason it's not'.
