Hi,
I had to reinstall Kubuntu 16.04 on one of my PCs.
I reinstalled zoneminder per:
https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Serv ... e_easy_way
However, when I went to test my camera's video stream, per
https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Amcrest_QCam
=>
rtsp://<username>:<password>@<ip_address>:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif
and then using VLC player:
Media => Open Network Stream => Network
On the new Kubuntu installation, the video stream appears to connect, but I just get a black screen.
However, if I do the exact same command on my other Kubuntu PC, I get a proper video feed.
Both VLC versions are 2.2.2.
Any ideas why the new installation would be getting a black video stream when another PC with the exact same VLC version works fine?
Thanks
- Scott

Never mind, this appears to be a VLC player issue. Playing mpg files shows the same problem, but they work fine in Dragon player
