I setup 2 monitor and use TOP in my system. P4 2.6G, 512M,
and I find one zmc will occupy 25% CPU Load. It's normal ?
how to reduce the load of ZMC? 1 zms will occupy about 10% of CPU time?

Re: Memory and CPU load?
There is a thread about this issue <a href="http://www.zoneminder.com/forum_general ... 0">here</a> and I've also now created a FAQ with the same content. Hopefully something in there will be useful.

Ya. I know that. thanks for your help. But that's a pity. the display speed is normly about 20 frames and I never get 25 FPS. I only use Montor function. Only 1 montior displayed. you can check the speed by click the JAVA applet window. The size: 352x288. Color: RGB24. Capture Rate: 25 fps.

Re: Memory and CPU load?
Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean by the FPS and the java applet. Clicking on that will only tell you how many frames it is receiving across your network, not the actual capture rate of the monitor. That should be displayed just below it and is the actual capture rate. Getting 25 fps capture rate should be no problem with only one camera in monitor mode. Getting the applet to actually display 25 fps may be a bit harder depedning on your network and how efficient the applet is at screen redraws etc.
