It appears that the ZM processes can't actually connect to your camera. Can you use wget on the ZM box to fetch an image using the IP and path you have configured for ZM?

thanks Phil for your reply,

yes, of course, with wget i can connect to ipcamera and receive a jpeg image, only with http://ip_of_camera/jpg/image.jpg

In the path of ZM i put jpg/image.jpg on port 80 but in stills mode i only view cambozola string, in stream mode i have a black screen.

If you know other setting, i can try.

Thanks

Can you confirm that the Remote Host Name of your camera is just set to the IP or hostname (no http:// part) and that the Remote Host Path is just /jpg/image.jpg ?

Yes i confirm, is set correctly.

If you like, you can try with an external ipcamera with this link:

Any other suggestion?

Thanks Phil

I've managed to set up a monitor on my system that works ok with the address you supplied. Perhaps you could dump your camera settings (zmu -q -v -m <monitor id>) here and I'll see if there's anything obvious in there.

Hi Phil,
can you post the configuration you managed to make it work with pjj IP?

There are others Andy posted here: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... highlight=
that can also be used for testing.

I tried myself with Andy's ones but the best I get is a blank square in the Monitor window (setting 8 bit grey scale, otherwise the Console has the related IP marked red).

It would be useful to know what is a feasible configuration with the Intellinet cameras...

I _think_ the path was /jpg/image.jpg to get a 640x480 image. I will check and confirm however.
