Hello to all,
I've installed a fresh zoneminder version 1.30.4 on my debian 9.4 (stretch).
I would like to update to 1.31, because, afaik, with that version I could record the main stream directly to disk (also no frames) and let analyze the second stream of my IP cameras. In case of match (mdetect), the main stream would be utted and selected as event.
Is this first of all correct? That would give me a better stream and a lower load.
If that above is correct, it's safe to update? Better to use this repo (https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/debian/st ... s/stretch/) or build from source?
Trying to build it from source I've got "Unknown option stretch".
BTW my setup is very easy (4 cameras) so I could start from the beginning.
thanks,
Simon

Re: Upgrade ZoneMinder on Debian
Stick with 1.30.4. There are still issues with 1.31.x and it is not ready for a production system, Ubuntu or Debian!
Re: Upgrade ZoneMinder on Debian
Ok, I can wait. Is there a roadmap or an estimate release date?
Thanks all for the support!

Should we expect to see ZM 1.31 in the current year? Thanks!
