any experience with fedora, zm and logitech quick pro 4000?

Post by MK »

hello!
My aim is to get zm work on my fedora core 3 installed. but today it works, and zm has correctly been installed!!! I can see the zm page.

But my problem now is, My webcam ligths, I supposed this means it works, and it is supported by fedora core 3, but i don't have any image, and when I do 'dmesg' , i don't have anything like ' /dev/video....'

Be sure, I do not want to lose you your precious time , I went through the forum, saw a lot of links on how to set up it:

http://www.linux.com/howtos/Webcam-HOWTO/devices.shtml

, but nothing....

if you want I can show you the result of my 'dmesg'

thx for your help

I know there are issues with Logitech Quickcam Pro drivers. I have a Quickcam Pro 3000 and had similar problems.

I believe you have to get a non-standard pwcx kernel module. Just do a google search for "linux quickcam pro" and you will find lots of helpful pages like this one:
