Hi, I need an advice for my system.
I need a dedicated PC with zoneminder (16 cams) and on the monitor I want to show
a viewer with some cams that must be always on, without any type of interaction by user, 24/7.
Since version 1.22 I use ZM combined with xlib_shm
(a stand alone viewer that I downloaded from this website) that starts at boot and it's on 24/7 and it works well.
I'm now going to update the system and I'm wondering if there's a better solution,
I also think xlib_shm is not supported any more...
which is the better solution?
If possible I like to use the viewer on the same PC of the ZM server...
what about a using VLC in mosaic mode and connect RTSP to each cam? Too much network traffic?
maybe and indipendent PC (raspberry)?

thanks
stand alone viewer (not the browser)
Re: stand alone viewer (not the browser)
You can create a web page that displays the cameras from the Zoneminder feed. not hard to do...
For a stand alone machine just use Montage view in Firefox. If you open Montage and set the URL as the browser home page it will open up when the browser starts. I have several large screen (TV) monitors doing this on a system. Have an add-on to refresh the view every 300 seconds.
1.32.2 now has the ability to hide most of the menu bar. Am planning to switch out 1.30.4 for 1.32.2 this week to see how it works.
