Unable to connect to ZM db.could not find driver

Post by hotswapster »

After a fresh install on Ubuntu 16.04 following this wiki:
https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Serv ... e_easy_way

I had an error where this appeared when trying to access the web interface:
Unable to connect to ZM db.could not find driver

After much toking and froing I fixed it by running this command:
apt install php-mysql

I then restarted mysql, apache2 and zoneminder

Maybe this was missed in the wiki? I dunno. I'm not a linux ninja, but I figure others might have this trouble so have posted it.
Happy computing :)

The WIKI does state:

Ubuntu Server Install: When prompted by Tasksel install OpenSSH Server, and LAMP Server.

Had you installed LAMP with tasksel it would have worked the first time!
