Debian package for 1.21.3 available on apt repository

Post by matrix »

I've update the Debian package of ZoneMinder at spic.net to 1.21.3

Thanks to Brent Addis for nudging me that a new version of zoneminder was available and in need of packaging.

It currently won't automatically zmupdate the database, but i'll be adding that feature in soon. i did modify zmupdate.pl so that people can manually run it if needed.

The binary package should include all dependencies. To use it, add the following 2 lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list then run " apt-get update ; apt-get install zm "
--
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ testing main
deb http://www.spic.net/zoneminder/debian ./

hello!!

I have a pb with zm install on debian.
I have installed it first time without pb following the instructions of matrix, but now when I 'apt-get install zm'

Les paquets suivants contiennent des dépendances non satisfaites :
zm: Dépend: libgcc1 (>= 1:4.0.0-9) mais 1:3.4.3-13 devra être installé
E: Paquets défectueux

traduction:
The following packages contain unsatisfied dependences:
Zm: depends: libgcc1 (> = 1:4.0.0-9) but 1:3.4.3-13 must be installed E: defective Packages

can you help me, What may I do to fix that, or to install the correct libgcc recquiered??

thx

are you running sarge (stable) or etch (testing)? I've been building these packages for testing which now uses gcc4. if you're using testing, be sure to do an apt-get upgrade.

I'll be building packages for stable sometime this week, so if you're running sarge hold out a little bit

I'm just about to build a server that among other things will have an FTP. If you would like when it's finnished I can give you access to it to provide things for ZM.

... but do you have upgraded the Debian/stable to Debian/testing?

I don't think that istall gcc4 is sufficient for debian.

If you want i can send you the package builded for Debian/stable
