no image with DCS-1000

Post by matador »

Hi all,
newbie here,
I just got everything working with a BT878 capture card attached to my ccd camera. Excellent software!
Running ZM on CentOS 4.1
Just got a hold of a dlink, DCS-1000, and I have read previous posts which aren't favourable to the dlink IP camera.

Here is the error I get from the zmdc.log
"
'zmc -m 3' starting at 05/08/24 21:00:29, pid = 5512
'zmc -m 3' started at 05/08/24 21:00:29
zmc: zm_image.h:185: void Image::CopyBuffer(const Image&): Assertion `width == image.width && height == image.height && colours == image.colours' failed.
'zmc -m 3' died at 05/08/24 21:00:30, signal 6
"

I have tried different resolution combinations, and I still can't get stills are streaming to appear.

The built in interface camera works ok though.

Anyone have any ideas?

Just another thought... When I first compiled ZM, I didn't select that I had a network camera to connect to.. Do I have to recompile the ZM? Or is it ok just to enable it in the web zone monitor config console?

besides not getting the IP camera to work, all is good with my camera attached to the BT878 card.

Any ideas or thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

cheers.

Its all good,

After going through a number of different config options, finally found that it was a memory issue on my CentOS server. I had to release some memory, and now I can get image streaming at 15fps.

I actually found it by accident, I just thought I would shutdown the ZM server and some other stuff I had running, I was cleaning up to call it a day, and then I started ZM again, and noticed that the IP camera was enabled this time..

anyways.. this problem has probably been beaten to death by now.. but it was a good learning process for me..

ZM kicks arse!
