Monitor source in 8 bit - events play in colour, saved images in black&white

Hi there,
I have recently updated my 1.30 to 1.32 with SuSE Leap 15.1 - installation went smooth (ffmpeg package was a bit resistant initially, but worked finally).

To save space on my NAS, I have set my cameras to 8 bit (black&white, or "no colour"). Stored images on my NAS are also b&w. Monitors have been set to H264 video passthrough, images are stored with analytical images.

Now, if I look at events and have them re-played through zm, they play in colour! Also, privacy areas have not been blackened out. It seems, there must be a bucket full of paint somewhere...

Very surprising to me. Maybe any hint how to tune down to bw? Or is the option with H264 video passthrough wrongly set?
