How to disable a Monitor in the Console panel?

Simple question: with reference to the main console, there is a small ticking box for selecting those monitors in the list that the admin can eventually delete.
Is any alternative available to temporarily turn off a monitor without deleting it?

change its status to none (if you currently set to mocord change it to none)
