Hi all!
I'm configuring ZM 1.32 installed on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
I've 3 IP cams decently running. When i ask for "Montage Review",
i observe an average cpu usage of about 40%.
Instead, if i ask for a full window of one of them Zm seems to get stuck.
Both cores reaches 100% of usage and to recover the control of ZM
i've to shut down Mozilla.
Any ideas?

Excessive resource usage on fanless PC
Re: Excessive resource usage on fanless PC
What happens to your /dev/shm? Set your resolution lower and the frame rate lower. Set the frame rate at the camera and halve the resolution in Zoneminder. Just see what happens...
Re: Excessive resource usage on fanless PC
About your questions:
- The voice " /dev/shm" as visibile in blue in ZM reports values always below 6%
- If a reduce the FPSs in tab "General" - only there - somethimes, it stops to capture at all.
- if i reduce "Capure Width/height" - only in that fields, somethimes it stops to capture,
other times, the cpu usage get reduced significantly.
Last time, i've forgot the "Scale" to 4x, meaning to magnifying some details,
and that cause the unresponsivity of the whole system.
Suggestions?

Re: Excessive resource usage on fanless PC
The FPS settings should be empty.
The width and height should match what the camera is sending.
You can always try upgrading to 1.33.14, it has a lot of fixes and improvements.
