Issue => TimeStamp setting changed, and now no TimeStamp

Post by johny001 »

Hello Everyone,

I've been using and testing ZoneMinder for some time now. I just updated to ZoneMinder 1.34.10.
Six Cameras, all showing the TimeStamp on top Left corner.

I decided to change the formatting from DD/MM/YYY into MM/DD/YYYY.... very simple, and I've done that before, and switched around.

NOW with the new version, I noticed that the Font Size is now 1 and 2.

BUT the issue is that I changed the settings, and the TimeStamp disappeared completely.
THEN, I switched it back, but the timestamp is gone.

SO, now I had time stamp on 5 cameras, and NONE on sixth. I copied the exact format from another Camera to this one. No Luck !!!
I restarted Zoneminder, NO LUCK

Then, I thought, let me try it on another CAMERA, and the same thing happened.

THE TIMESTAMP is now NOT showing (no matter what I do) on two of my Cameras.
THE FONT SIZE always goes back to 1, no matter how many times you set it to 2.
It used to show perfectly, and had no issues in Prior Versions, if and when I made changes to TimeStamp.

ANOTHER ISSUE ==> The setting are not sticky anymore.
So, in prior versions, I would click on a Camera from "CONSOLE" page, and then set Scale to "Scale to Fit".
Close the window and come back, that is no LONGER sticky. Although the drop box still shows "Scale to Fit", but the size is Actual

So any help on this? Are these actual errors, or something has changed?

I suppose no one else is having this issue

Any help from the developer or anyone who is willing to try this out?

1. Ubuntu 18.04 server
2. All default install, using the guide
3. Recent upgrade to 1.34.10
4. Under Camera settings => TimeStamp Tab => Try making a change to formatting.
5. The TimeStamp overlay disappears.

First step, update to 1.34.11. There was a fix relating to the size of the timestamp.

Hi Connor, after further testing. The stickiness is not working.
Here is what I tested:

1. Browsers => FireFox, Chrome, Safari
2. OS => Mac and Ubuntu Desktop
3. From Console, click on a monitor, it will bring up the live view. Change the dropbox to "Scale to Fit"
4. It will scale nicely
5. Go back to Console, or logout and login. Either one, and go back to same monitor.
6. The live view will show in Full Size, even though the DropBox will show "Scale to Fit". Change it to something else, and then change back to "Scale to Fit". It will scale for that instance only.

In prior versions, this behavior was sticky, and would remain there.
