ALERT - Major UI Changes - Work in Progress
Re: ALERT - Major UI Changes - Work in Progress
Hi,
in 1.35.6~20200831130604-focal Montage displays nothing regardless of what selections I make. Last version where Montage view works for me is 1.35.6_20200825114814-focal. I cleared cache and restarted browser which made the new controls in Montage appear in latest version, but the cameras themselves do not show. They show correctly everywhere else just not in montage. I have 2 cameras. This is on ubuntu 20 obviously, installed from ppa master.

On vacation this week. I have not touched montage and i don't know if I will. The problem must be something else. Try creating a new thread, showing your logs.

It's working fine for me.
Havn't done much in montage other than the ability to hide the monitor filters.
I'm guessing that something is selected that is filtering out both monitors. Check logs for SQL errors.

Anyone facing the problem that archived files get now also deleted if you mark all and delete?
At the old gui they got not deleted.

Should not be possible to delete Archived events anymore.
Function modal has been updated to be more efficient and work.

Tested with Opera and Firefox.

I can confirm archived event does not delete when selecting check all, even though there is a checkbox enabled to delete it

New features are looking really great !!!
Just one suggestion. Why not put thumbnail in a new column ? I think between ID and Name and centralize data on row.

Bugs:
-After deleting Events you have to refreh manually to see the result.
And even if may the wrong thread:
-I had a strange behavior some days ago with an older Version.
After my system drive got nearly full zoneminder deletes all videos stored on the nearly empty storeage drive.
It keeps deleting every video until I deactivated the PurgeWhenFull rule.

Re: ALERT - Major UI Changes - Work in Progress
@tomcat84 I think that is a timing issue. A page refresh is being called, but due to a race condition it is happening before the sql query completes. I am planning to fix that, and add some additional error reporting in the process should the ajax call fail. I think it will fix this. Stay tuned.

Re: ALERT - Major UI Changes - Work in Progress
HEADS UP:
Moments ago, I converted all the "?" help links to modals. It would be very helpful if we could get an army of click warriors to click on all the "?" under monitor config and options views. That is, once you've got today's build installed.
Verify the modal appears, has content, and is the correct content (and not the content of the modal you previously clicked a moment ago).
It all looks good on my machine, but we can only be certain until you all try it.
If you do notice a problem, please inspect the browser console and zm log for errors.

Will do.
Still having problems with the Log viewer. All the filter selection menus are empty. So no select a component to filter the Log results for example.

Re: ALERT - Major UI Changes - Work in Progress
Yeah, a few weeks ago I tried log viewer on two different CentOS 8 vm's, and it was completely empty. It just didn't work. Works fine on Fedora 32, which is what I've been doing all my work on.
I don't know at this time if it is something in my local configuration, php related, or something else.
el8 uses PHP 7.2 while f32 uses 7.4.
I have not had time to troubleshoot and was hoping someone else might figure it out.

Re: ALERT - Major UI Changes - Work in Progress
I'll look into it further. I have seen this both on PHP 7.4 and 7.2, in Void Linux and Puppy Linux Bionic64. Seems like it might be something simple...hopefully!
At least you are seeing it as well and it's not Distro related.
