Solution FOR JPEG 2000

Post by victor_diago »

hey philip, i have found the libjasper.a , a library that contain support for jpeg 2000 standard.

i have read some benchmarks and , man, really the difference is big... jpeg 2000 may be an important add-on to the zoneminder system.... try it, i will a little too....

i think it works like libjpeg, but libjasper only (i guess) have support to jpeg 2000...

cheers

Nope not yet. I'm not sure of what browsers etc support JPEG2000, I didn't think any of them did yet.

Oh i see is that the only issue with it then? The reason I ask is our industry are making a big thing of 2000 and i believe it helps with file sizes generally but especially noisy low light images
