[Solved] Not capturing

Post by swefrix »

Following a recent kernel upgrade, capturing stopped working. The error messages I get are the following:
2020-11-08 19:57:53 zmc_m1 3762 ERR connect(), Could not connect zm_comms.cpp 580
2020-11-08 19:57:53 zmc_m1 3762 FAT Unable to connect RTSP socket zm_rtsp.cpp 216
2020-11-08 19:57:53 zmdc 1606 ERR 'zmc -m 1' exited abnormally, exit status 255 zmdc.pl
2020-11-08 19:54:29 web_php 924 ERR Socket /var/lib/zoneminder/sock/zms-628716s.sock does not exist. This file is created by zms, and since it does not exist, either zms did not run, or zms exited early. Please check your zms logs and ensure that CGI is enabled in apache and check that the PATH_ZMS is set correctly. Make sure that ZM is actually recording. If you are trying to view a live stream and the capture process (zmc) is not running then zms will exit. Please go to http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... window-etc for more information. /usr/share/zoneminder/www/includes/functions.php 2188
The camera is a Reolink RLC-410-5MP and it has been working flawlessly for the last months, or so. Until now... :( The Reolink client in Win10 works normally and shows a steady image.

I'm running ZM on an HP EliteDesk 800 G2, 16GB of RAM and a Core i7-6700 @3.40 GHz. The OS is Fedora 32, with all the latest updates, and the kernel version is 5.8.18-200.fc32

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks,

-Stefan

Never mind... I just noticed that the camera had got a new ip-address through DHCP. Seems like I forgot to make a DHCP-reservation for it... :oops:
