1.35.20 Ubuntu 20.04 "User Authentication is not turned on. You cannot log in."

Hi,
I tried installing to try it out. After installation I get the error "User Authentication is not turned on. You cannot log in." How do I turn authentication on?

This is a development version...there may still be a problem getting access to the database.
So, try this:

No it is not working . It seems there is a problem in mysql configuration in the latest version of zoneminder master .

The problem seems to be fixed in the latest zoneminder master realesed today.But ,there is a problem in creating USB camara monitors

I am also having problems with local USB cameras not streaming but seem to be capturing. Also my network cameras that use "Remote" as the Source Type are showing the same behavior.

I installed 1.36.5 on Ubuntu 18.04.5 and am getting the same "User authentication is not turned on. You cannot log in." Non of the suggestions appear to work - can't login so cannot modify config, redirection is imposed on any edit of url etc. The comments above appear to indicate it was fixed in the master a few months back so expected would be fixed in 1.36. I have since un installed wondering if another iconnor ppa might be more successful. Any help would be much appreciated
