I don't know when this started to happen in master but when you try to click close to the event on the timeline the playback resets back to the beginning instead of advancing.

I won't even try to be specific, but I've seen that with certain Video Writer combos.
You might try playing with that, even if you're using passthrough. Depends somewhat on the camera.
Is the timeline indicator otherwise smooth and proportional if you just watch it?

Playback is smooth, timeline loading in steps.Is the timeline indicator otherwise smooth and proportional if you just watch it?
I spent 3 more days on this can't seem to figure out why not working like before.
1. Cannot export video
2. ffmpeg seems to be correct
3. I read the table of of my monitors from a year ago backup and settings are the same
