Decoding Enable/Disable doesn't work 1.36.9
Hi,
I just upgraded to 1.36.9 and my system load shot through the roof. I have Decoding Enable turned off for a lot my monitors, and it worked great in 1.36.8. In 1.36.9 all my monitors are decoding despite the setting.
Is it just me, or has anyone else seen this?
Gerald

Hi Gerald,
I have exactly the same problem (see viewtopic.php?f=43&t=31219). All was fine until I updated the software from 1.36.8 to 1.36.9. I am using Reolink 520 H264 cameras on an Ubuntu 20.04.3 server.
Kind regards ... Guy

I have it on multiple cameras: 1 reolink, 2 dahua, and 2 ezviz, all FFMpeg RTSP or RTMP.
Re: Decoding Enable/Disable doesn't work 1.36.9
Looked at the system this morning (after two days of continuous running with no changes to Ubuntu server or ZM config software) and the high res stream had stopped hogging CPU and the live stream was off, just as things should be! So I restarted ZM service to see if the problem was cured, but unfortunately the high res stream went back to high CPS usage and showing live view again???
Does anyone know if it is possible to downgrade to 1.36.8 using Ubuntu? I have tried 'sudo apt-get install zoneminder=1.36.8' but it returns that this version is not found.
Many thanks.

You could go to the PPA, grab the old version .deb file and install using dpkg.

Re: Decoding Enable/Disable doesn't work 1.36.9
That was my first thought as well, but it seems that 1.36.8 and .7 are no longer present on either of the below URLs. Anyone know if there's an archive for previously-built 1.36.x deb packages?
(1.36.7 had some high mem issues after running for ~ 1 week, but CPU usage wasn't problematic.)
http://ppa.launchpad.net/iconnor/zonemi ... oneminder/
https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/debian/master/focal/
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks! Those packages work and resolve the high CPU issue.

I rolled back as well. Hopefully we'll see a .10 to solve this issue.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say a big thank you to the Zoneminder community and developers. Installed 1.36.10 this morning and the Decoding Enable/Disable flag is working again.
Thank you ... Guy
