Ok, I have a filter which Messages, Emails and Archives events.
I am under the impression that archived events cannot be deleted, that events have to be unarchived so they can be deleted.
If this is not the case, then stop reading here.
I notice there is a purge filter, which uses the 'delete all matches' and is run when disk is 75% full.
Will that leave the archived events alone or will it delete them?
If it leaves them alone, then if I create a filter which 'unarchives' and 'delete all' in the same filter, will that result in the archived items being deleted or will I be left with undeleted events?
I could unarchive in a filter, can I assume they will not be mailed out again because there is a 'emailed' flag somewhere, which is not available to filter condition selection.
What is to stop my message/mail/archive filter from simply re-archiving the events?
EDIT: Is it possible to specify that a filter is run at the beginning and end of an event? So the Message can get out as quickly as possible and the Email can be sent out at the end (full video of event)?

That has an unarchived only term, doesn’t it?I notice there is a purge filter, which uses the 'delete all matches' and is run when disk is 75% full.
I’m pretty sure a filter will do what you tell it. You might get a warning when you save it, but you can ignore it if you choose.

Huh. I have not looked at the unvarnished dist lately...anyway, this is what they used to distribute:
So you can test to see if there's a built-in unarchived only. If so, you can probably just make a second filter to override it.

Re: Question: Using filters...
Slight difference. I just noticed the 'unarchived only' in the query clause, but I think my question still stands.
Will unarchive and delete work in the same operation?
These are not particularly clear, for example, in which order the checkboxes on the left are considered, top to bottom? I suspect not because delete is above copy.
So, in one filter I don't think I can Unarchive, create a video, copy and delete, all in one step. I would have to create multiple filters, then I have the possibility of filters interfering with each other.

Re: Question: Using filters...
Well, if you want to copy / delete, you'd use move.
