Hello,

with two of my 6 monitors (4 cameras) I get the following error:

zm_videostore.cpp error writing packet. Operation not permitted.

After a while the laptop gets unresponsive and I have to restart it with a power-reset. I didn't find anything interesting in /var/log/messages/, just a lot of that same message...

It's an intel-i9 and ZoneMinder shows a load of between 1.85 and 3.8, which should be ok with that processor, I guess. There is plenty of disk space.

I have 4 cameras with their substreams.
For 2 of them I also capture the main-stream, triggered by it's respective substream. It is with those 2 monitors that the problem appears. Apart of that message, it seems that all videos are saved anyway. There are the event-folders, and each contains an .mp4-video, an alarm.jpg and a snapshot.jpg.
The videos have no sound although they should (and the substreams have it).

What could it be? For what could I search?

Because it was asked in my other thread (nos sound in high res videos) I produced a debug log and I cross-post it here, in case it helps...

It's during 8 minutes for this camera and has 400'000 lines (almost 60MB). I uploaded it to my server:

My poor laptop came to its limits... What i did

- stopped the app (button on the top right in the zm browser window)
- changed all log types to "debug"
- set debug level to 3
- checked the debug box
- started the app
- waited that the cameras appeared (which now took a long time, load went to almost 10)
- triggered a movement, so that a video would be saved
- stopped the app
(changed back logs to "warning", unchecked the debug boxes, set debug level to 1)

(in the published log I changed username/password/IP-Number)

I found out that when I turn sound off in zm storage settings, this error does not appear anymore.

So I consider this thread as solved, and hope I get more help in the other thread "High Res events black and no sound"
