Hi there!
I am using an external USB 2TB drive to store my zoneminder events.
When power supply is gone for some reason and then it comes back again, the external drive (it is a cheap box...) doesn't switch ON automatically.
The result is that the zoneminder server starts, it doesn't find the usb storage, and starts writing the events on local /var/cache/zoneminder directory.
How to prevent this behaviour? I don't really want my zm to use the default filesystem path if my usb storage is not available. It should simply stop recording until the USB drive is again ON.
Is it possible?
Regards
Sophia

You could change the permissions on the local drive, I think. That’s likely to fill up logs, but you can probably change the log level to prevent that.
Inelegant, I know.
