Looking for opinions on Xeon E5

Looking for opinions on Xeon E5

There are a lot of older Xeon E5 26xx processor servers in the used market. Just wondering how well those processors work with ZoneMinder. I know cores are better than clock speeds and some of the E5s have a lot of cores.

I currently run 40 HD cameras spread across three ZoneMinder machines, all i7 based. I create low-definition monitors for each one for doing motion detection and high-definition monitors for recording. So it's around 80 total monitors in ZoneMinder.

Just looking for opinions. Doing this on a budget, as always. Thanks!
