ZMS Timeout

Post by zherebet »

Hey Guys,

I'm just wondering about this - on slow connections, such as DSL - streaming the images is possible without too much of a problem. When the stream window is closed, the zms process doesn't die, however it keeps on streaming the images. At some point, I believe it just times out. If one were to reopen the same window while the original stream hasn't timed out, zms starts streaming in a new http session. So you end up having two sessions streaming to one destination IP. Normally this isn't a problem, however on DSL connections this becomes quite SLOW. Is this a bug? Can this be fixed?
Regards,

Apache should kill the zms daemon once it recognises the connection is closed. There was a bug in an earlier version 2 of apache that didn't do this but all recent ones should.

How long does your zms hang around for afterwards?

How recent? Im running apache 2.0.51 and this always happens. The zms processes never die unless I kill them manually.

The bug was in 2.0.40 or something but I don't know what version the fix came in at.
