Post by julianopillati »

Hello people, I have this message when i open http on ZM system:

Warning: Unknown(): write failed: No space left on device (28) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/var/lib/php4) in Unknown on line 0

I think really i not have more space, but i rememebr i configi for 99% HD.
But now i cannot log in as admin for reconfig. Have anyone solution?

you neeed to delete some events, if you can login to the actual machine, and locate the directory where your events are stored and delets some of the older ones you should be back. You might have a stalled filter, i had this when i enabled email and was missing some modules and it stopeed all filters from running including the purge when full.

I would not recommend setting your disk space threshold to 99% as that doesn't really give you any leeway if you do something else that might use up that last bit of space.

Post by julianopillati »

Where I config for max disk usage for 90% for example ?
I try "options" as admin, but not search nothing about percent for disk...

Thank you,

sounds like you dont have purge when full enabled at all.
If you search for purge when full you should find a post with instuctions in there.

ok then
The 'purge when full' option is a feature available in filters. with filters you can set various options like archive all events older than 4 days or delete oldest event when disk is 9x % full, 'purge when full'

To access this click on any event list so that another window opens showing those events. Then another window should pop up called the filter window. if this doesnt show you may have popup blocking software that prevents it, click on show filter window.

in the use filter drop down box select purgewhenfull

modify the rules as necessary ie you will see a value for disk percent.
click save
another window will pop up, click on automatically delete all matches then clivk save.

this filter will then be run every 300 seconds (configurable in options) and will purge events when the disk is full.

Hope that clears it up
